UK Song Writing Contest 2017

I’ve been sitting on some exciting news since the summer. I entered the UK Song writing contest this year for the first time and was delighted to make it to the semi-finals with TWO of the songs from the Come Around album!!
The contest contains several categories. Just a Breath Away is a semi-finalist song in the Adult Contemporary (AC) category and Only the Moon is a semi-finalist in the Retro category.
I hadn’t realised that despite the name, the contest is an international competition and is open to both signed and un-signed artists. It has thousands of entries so to make it to this level has seemed slightly miraculous!!
Needless to say, my producer and creative partner in crime Adrian Kimberlin and I are over the moon. Speaking of which, here is the video for Only the Moon where I had a lot of fun channelling my inner 1950’s diva…..
