Finding the right team of musicians for my album launch gig has been a daunting task.
The album “I Don’t Give Up Easily” was produced at Soundstage Studios in Nashville by Fred Mollin who throughout his extensive career has worked with Jimmy Webb, Kris Kristofferson, Lamont Dozier, Billy Ray Cyrus, BB King, Johnny Mathis, JD Souther, Kristin Chenoweth and UK artists Rumer and Jo Harman. He has also recorded duets with Billy Joel, Willie Nelson, Carly Simon, Glen Campbell, Crosby & Nash, Art Garfunkel, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Sheryl Crow, Natalie Cole, Gregory Porter, Gloria Estefan, Carole King, Joe Cocker, and the list goes on…
Fred’s trusted team of musicians are absolute thoroughbreds. It was a complete honour to watch them play my original songs with such passion and to hear their approval of the writing. Larry Paxton charted all the music in his beautiful script using the Nashville number system. Luckily, I know some pretty awesome musicians over here in the UK and am excited about how my own band of cool cats has come together. I think we are going to have a great time at the launch if rehearsals are anything to go by!
