Love Midlands Theatre (LMT) Awards April 2019

It was a lovely surprise to find I had been nominated in the first ever Love Midlands Theatre awards for Best Supporting Actress for my role as Serena in Fame last year for Sutton Arts Theatre. It was an even greater surprise to actually win the award and I therefore gave the slightly uncomfortable speech that is expected at these kind of occasions. Sutton Arts Theatre went on to win awards in several other categories.
On the same night I sang a duet from The Stars That Remain – a new musical written by my producer Adrian Kimberlin which was a sell-out in Nov 2018. Later in the evening The Stars That Remain went on to win the Love Midlands Theatre award for Best New Work. So delighted for Adrian and the TSTR/Entrance Productions team. There are more plans for The Stars That Remain in 2019 so watch this space and I’ll keep you posted.
