“Put Norah Jones, The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac in a blender, and you get Sarah Riches ” - Phillip Stoneman
BIOgraphy
NASHVILLE SOUNDS - BRITISH TWIST
UK-CMA and BCMA recognised artist
Sarah Riches is a Country/Americana recording artist based in Staffordshire, UK.
Sarah embodies class and quality, blending soulful Americana with authentic country storytelling. With distinctive, rich, emotive and versatile vocals and thought-provoking songwriting she creates musical landscapes that transport listeners to dusty backroads, sun-drenched southern fields and dimly lit honky-tonks, while exploring deeply personal themes of love, loss, and resilience.
Whether performing intimate acoustic sets that showcase the raw power of her voice and songwriting, or backed by her stellar band The Dreamcatchers delivering heartbreaking pedal steel-drenched ballads to full-throttle country rock, Sarah connects with audiences through her authenticity, humour and emotional vulnerability.
Drawing inspiration from legends like Bonnie Raitt and Trisha Yearwood while infusing more contemporary sounds of artists such as Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde, she occupies a unique space in today's country/Americana scene.
Sarah’s 2023 debut country album of 10 original tracks “I Don’t Give Up Easily” was produced in Nashville by Fred Mollin whose A-list recording catalogue includes JD Souther (composer of several Eagles hits), Kris Kristofferson, Jimmy Webb, Billy Ray Cyrus, Vince Gill, Lyle Lovett), with many of the album musicians being regular artists at The Grand Ole Opry. This album reached No 4 in the UK iTunes Country Album chart, with 2 singles from the album reaching the top 5 in the singles chart. It also generated multiple award nominations for UKCountryRadio.com and BCMA.
Since this release Sarah has maintained the Nashville sound with UK-based Inspire Music and her 6-piece band The Dreamcatchers, creating a series of singles contrasting in mood, edge and style, from classic honky-tonk to country ballad, Americana to Southern rock, which have captured the attention and solid support of radio presenters both here and overseas.
Sarah is currently thoroughly enjoying the creative process of writing and recording her next original album, having recently returned from Nashville where she has worked once again with Fred Mollin, with 2 brand new tracks soon for release.
She is a nominee in 2 categories for the prestigious Josie Music Awards 2026 - Vocalist Of The Year - Multi-Genre Female and Song Of The Year - Country Female for her single Devil In Blue.
She was also nominated in 2 categories in the UK CountryRadio.com Awards 2026 for UK Female Country Singer Of The Year and UK Country Artist Of The Year.
She is also a nominee for BCMA 2026 Awards for Best Single with Devil In Blue.
